Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy involves the removal of an inflamed nerve and blood supply from the inside of the tooth to eliminate chronic pain or to remove bacteria causing infection. One of the most commonly misunderstood procedures, root canal treatment is generally pain-free.

Keep in mind that antibiotics may be prescribed prior to, or following, your root canal treatment. However, removal of bacteria from the tooth by root canal treatment typically allows the body to remove the remaining bacteria without the need for a prescription antibiotic.
